Top Bar Hive Workshop -- Be a Beekeeper!

This hands on, three part workshop will focus on Top Bar Hive construction and management. The first day will be a lecture/ presentation and construction of your own Top Bar Hive. The lecture portion will center on Top Bar Hives and some of the paradigm shift that accompanies their management. This will spotlight all natural techniques of beekeeping.   
Part Two will be installation and first inspection.  Part Three will be on the continued inspections and management of free comb hives.   
Start Date: Sunday, April 11, 1pm

The following qualifications are helpful:

* Knowledge of field natural history, environmental concepts & local plants & animals.

* An interest in our local environment as well as a desire to connect children and adults with nature.

* Teaching experience helpful, but not necessary.
